What happens if your job feels like a dead end?

If you no longer enjoy your job, then you are not alone. The results of a recent study* show a clear trend: Over the last ten years, job satisfaction among professionals in Switzerland has fallen from 84% to 71%.

There is a range of reasons for resenting your job. In the long term, a lack of challenging work is not a positive situation to be in, even if the work seems easy in these scenarios.

For some people, changing jobs doesn't go far enough and they need to review their current skills profile. Perhaps it's time to continue your professional development? Time to deepen your skills in your preferred specialist area and that way feel more fulfilled in your role? By continuing your professional development you'll be able to perform your tasks more capably and more successfully. This can have a positive impact on your salary, increase your job satisfaction, and raise your profile within the team.
